The recent trend shows that the aesthetic ambience at cafés and restaurants is taken into consideration more than food at times. Quite a number of times that’s me too. The better the ambience the more comfortable you can be and can enjoy your food and drinks.
The Goose and Gridiron is one of them. It is located on Abdul Rehman street, opposite Sterling cinema, Fort, Mumbai.
Let’s talk a little more about the ambience of this place. The Goose and Gridiron has an amazing interior with various poster frames on the wall, alongside there’s a petite bar. It’s very calm and sophisticated. They have a thematic outdoor seating plan with garden being the theme. They have very pretty lanterns and creepers hanging around which gives you a very serene and aesthetic vibes. It’s also very eye catching.
Moving on to the food of this place . I ordered penne with broccoli and mushroom in paprika cream sauce. The pasta amazingly blended with the sauce and it was presented in a huge dish with two slices of untoasted bread. It was one of the best pasta I’ve ever had. It’s a must try. Since I’m a hog, I ordered another dish from the main course which was egg fried rice with Hunan chicken sauce. This too was very scrumptious , stomach filling and sufficient for two. On the contrary, I was disappointed with the quantity of the pasta, but the taste compensated for it.
Overall it costed me almost ₹800-1000. The place is honestly very cozy and probably perfect for a first date as well!
