I have always heard or read about bagels on social media but never really had an idea nor was active enough to look up for it.
Recently a new cafe called Samvene- The Bagel Cafe opened close to my house. By this time I was really curious to know the taste and the looks of it. I couldn’t wait anymore and so I made some time and visited this place.
Samvene- The Bagel Cafe is located in Malad, at the Mith Chowki junction. This place looks extremely alluring and petite from outside as well as from the inside. It is divided into two sections. The ground floor being very casual and formal whilst the top floor being very classy along with a bar and live screening. It also provides a view of the road which frankly isn’t very pleasing because of the metro construction but the background music does compensate for it. In short, it is perfectly soulful for people who love the old school vintage quirky essence with music, perfect to cut you away from the busy world right outside.

Okay, so let’s get started with the dishes! With not a huge fancy menu, this place has limited options but every item is done to perfection. Since it was my first time to try a bagel, I chose their signature bagels to be on the safer side. I ordered a Harvest Chicken bagel. Apparently, a bagel is round bread with a hole in the middle just like a doughnut. You can also select the type of bread you prefer. They offer a multigrain and high fibre bread. I was pretty excited to eat a bagel. On its arrival, I just went like “Oh, it is just like a burger!” As soon as I grabbed a bite, I enjoyed each and every part of it. Although, there is no much of a difference between a bagel and a sandwich/burger. It has the same stuffing of veggies and sauces. But it was mouthwatering and delightful. As named, The Bagel Cafe, this cafe does justice to its bagels right from its presentation to its taste. Later, I ordered a classic sizzling brownie which brought a flawless end to my day.

Samvene is a perfect cafe with pastel interiors and fancy bar but the only drawback I would like to mention is that their service is very slow. Although the staff is very friendly and helpful. One must surely hit up this place and try their bagels.
They do not have any parking facility so you may probably want to avail of public transportation.
This bagel cafe costed me an approx of ₹500-600 without alcohol. I would rate this 3.5 on 5. I found this cafe very budget friendly with a dainty ambiance. Worth dropping by.
Thank you!
