On India’s Independence Day, my friend and I decided to step out for dinner.

True Tramm Trunk was where we headed to. It is located in one of the poshest areas of Mumbai, BKC, Trade Center. It is a pub adorned with interesting furniture pieces and artwork. They have another outlet at Juhu, Vile Parle. Those living closer to Juhu can definitely hit up this place. They also have terrace seating at their Juhu branch.

True Tramm Trunk along with its large variety in drinks menu, also serves an appetising food menu . Their menu does not have a variety but the food is worth it.

Out of Chinese, Continental, Italian and Indian cuisines, we chose ‘Mao Chao’ from Chinese cuisine. The dish can be customised by choosing either rice or noodles with chilli chicken, paneer or prawns.We opted for noodles with chilli chicken. It was served in a thali which was pretty much sufficient for two. The dish had a good amount of chicken pieces and not forgetting the taste, it was exquisite! We were glad about the quantity. I would totally like to recommend this dish.

Another dish we ordered was, ‘Nasi Goreng’. This is a sizzler wherein you can opt for rice or noodles. Since we already chose noodles, this time we opted for rice and combined it with prawns. This sizzler was presented in a fancy style. They placed two sticks of prawns above the rice with an egg omelette served in the sizzling dish. This dish too was sufficient for two. The taste wasn’t that great yet edible. We were actually quite full by then. The DJ played some good old classic hits which made us groove to the music! We had an amazing time!

Coming to the ambience of this place, it has some lovely piece of artworks around the place. They also have outdoor seating. It is perfect if you want to have some deep talks with your friends or just want to cut out from the music and indulge in silence. It is a very soulful place.

True Tramm Trunk is the best place if you want to take a break from your work and hang out with friends on a Friday or Saturday night with a chilled beer and is also the best place just to spend some quality time with your near ones on a weekday!

True Tramm Trunk costs ₹1500 for two with alcohol. They also have live music and valet parking service. I would rate this
